A Paulding County couple is celebrating after claiming a $2 million lottery prize.
Kenneth and Mary Davis of Dallas claimed their winnings Wednesday at the Georgia Lottery headquarters after matching the first five numbers in the May 9 Powerball drawing.
Matching five numbers without the Powerball normally pays out $1 million, but the couple had selected the "PowerPlay" option, which doubled their winnings.
Winning numbers from the May 9 drawing were: 1-7-11-55-56 and the Powerball was 1.
The Davises bought the winning ticket at Crossroads Grocery on Dallas Acworth Highway in Dallas.
Wednesday night’s jackpot is $90 million.
