Parks department to sponsor Youth Fishing Derby

The Alpharetta Recreation and Parks Department is sponsoring its annual Youth Fishing Derby for ages 4-12 June 9 at Brookside Office Park Lake. Fishing begins at 8 a.m. and continues until 11 a.m.

Prizes will be given for the most fish caught and the longest fish. Children must bring their own fishing gear and bait. Parents should also bring lounge chairs, sunscreen, bug spray and water. The event is free, but pre-registration is required.
