Orientation sessions for foster families set

Local residents interested in fostering children can attend upcoming orientation sessions sponsored by the state Department of Family and Children Services.

There are about 9,000 children in foster care in Georgia, including about 400 in Gwinnett County.

Orientation sessions for foster families are held the second Monday of each month from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Clayton Commerce Center, 33 S. Clayton Street, Lawrenceville. For more information, call 877-210-5437 or visit www.gapartnershipparents.org.
