A 30-year-old man was charged Saturday with shooting another man in a south Fulton apartment during an argument about making too much noise while people were sleeping.

Melissa Parker, spokeswoman for the Fulton Police Department, said Deuntaie Eurico Amos was charged with homicide, aggravated assault and possession of firearm in commission of felony in the shooting death of 27-year-old Richard Sailors .

Around 5:30 a.m., several hours after Sailors was shot, Amos surrendered to police, Parker said.

Parker said the argument inside a Delano Road apartment  started  because "they were being too loud in the apartment and there were a lot of people in there and some were sleeping,” Parker said.

The two men argued. Then it became a “minor altercation and then one shot the other,” Parker said.

The gun and one round was recovered.
