The Norcross City Council recently approved a $385,000 contract with Construction 57, Inc. for the N. Peachtree Sidewalk Renovation Project.

The project will begin at 455 North Peachtree St. and end at 561 North Peachtree St. and will involve removal of one tree, existing concrete driveways and sidewalk, existing asphalt pavement, and existing stormwater pipes. Construction will include concrete paving, asphalt paving, relocation of utilities, a fieldstone retaining wall, roadway striping, and stormwater drainage facilities. Both travel lanes will be repaved in the project area upon completion.

Construction 57 was the lowest of 10 bidders for the project to be funded by the 2017 Transportation SPLOST Fund.
