Norcross gets nod to expand city's opportunity zone

The Georgia Department of Community Affairs recently approved Norcross’ application to expand the city’s opportunity zone to include the Northbelt Business Park.

The business park is located at Jimmy Carter Boulevard and Best Friend Road.

Businesses within the zone qualify for maximum state tax credits of $3,500 for each new job. The incentive, which can be used annually for up to five years, is open to new or existing businesses that create and maintain two or more full-time jobs.
