The Norcross City Council voted recently to fund construction of a bridge and trail at Kennemore Manor/Hunter Street to connect with Rossie Brundage Park. The estimated cost of the project, including a 15 percent contingency, is $62,675. Funds for the project will come from 2017 SPLOST.

The project will include a 35-foot by 8-foot weathered steel and concrete deck bridge and 6-foot wide trail with shredded cypress mulch. Three companies were contacted for quotes on the cost to manufacture the bridge including Excel Bridge coming in at $21,000, Contech Bridge at $22,300 and Pioneer Bridges. City documents show estimates from two of the three at this time.
