Folks in West Cobb will have a new link to the Perimeter area MARTA stations, and it’ll be free to use its first two weeks.

The new service, SRTA said, is to help give people different commuting options to the Perimeter area, which has many offices.

"The service is also expected to provide additional transportation options for commuters during the reconstruction of the I-285/GA-400 interchange," the agency said in a news release. That project is expected to bring even more traffic to the northern Perimeter area.

From when the route starts on Aug. 1 to Aug. 14, it’ll be free to ride, the agency said.

After that, an SRTA spokesman said the fares will go as follows: $4 for one way or $7 for round trip, 10 trip passes will be $35 and 31-day passes will cost $125.
