26 new recruits to join Atlanta Police

April 8, 2011Atlanta Police will swear in 26 recruits on Wednesday.
Recruit Class No. 217 will receive their badges at a ceremony at 2 p.m. at the Atlanta Police Training Academy on Southside Industrial Parkway.
The new officers will be sent to field training Wednesday night to begin their patrol duties with senior officers, police spokeswoman Officer Kim Jones said.
