Veteran law enforcement officers Jeffery K. Cato, a major with the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, and Dunwoody Police Chief Billy Grogan have been named president and vice president, respectively, of the DeKalb County Chiefs Association for 2010.
Members meet monthly to share information about crime trends and neighborhood or citizen concerns to legislation. The association also works to build trust in the community and create partnerships with other agencies.
The association is comprised of administrative heads of DeKalb law enforcement agencies, including the offices of the Sheriff, District Attorney and Solicitor General, DeKalb police, and city and university or college police agencies. The new members were sworn in at the December 2009 meeting.
