New 'diverging diamond' opens in Gwinnett

Gwinnett County police help make sure everything is operating correctly and safely as Pleasant Hill Road's new "diverging diamond" interchange opens at noon on June 9, 2013, in Duluth.

The interchange, the second of its kind in Georgia, is similar to the one completed last year on Ashford Dunwoody Road at I-285.

The bridge started to reopen to traffic at 11 a.m. and fully opened to traffic around noon, authorities said.
