The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted June 19 to increase the amount of the county’s current contract for guardian ad litem services from $50,000 to $100,000 while approving the contract for the 2019 fiscal year at $160,000.
The agreement with Henry Guardian Advocates LLC provides for exclusive child advocacy services to the county’s Juvenile Court and Superior Court for attorney advocates for children and special-needs adults involved in court cases. A staff report stated, “The judges feel that the attorneys involved with this group have the experience and certifications that are essential to provide these services.”
