New I-575 exit to give Woodstock traffic relief

By Christopher Quinn
Aug 13, 2010

Work will begin on the new Ridgewalk interchange on I-575 in December and will be finished 14 t0 18 months later.

Woodstock has worked for years to get another interchange on the interstate. It has two, one at Ga. 92 and a second Towne Lake Parkway. The Ridgewalk interchange will be north of the Towne Lake interchange at Ridgewalk Road.

It will relieve traffic and open undeveloped land north of downtown for further development. Cousins Properties has an interest in some of the land there and has expressed an interest in building a shopping center.
