A Douglas County man was killed Sunday night when his motorcycle hit a car driven by an Atlanta man, the Georgia State Patrol said.

About 8:42 p.m., Roberto Santos, 23, of Lithia Springs, was heading north on Ga. 92 in the left lane, the GSP said in an emailed statement. A Mercedes-Benz driven by Tensley Cofer, 51, turned left from Mt. Vernon Road into Santos’ path, according to the GSP.

“The motorcycle struck the vehicle and Santos was fatally injured,” the GSP said.

No charges have been filed. The GSP is investigating the crash.
