The Milton City Council has awarded contracts to resurface the swimming pool deck and rework the interior and remediate mold in the clubhouse of the former Milton Country Club, now a city parks and recreation facility.

Dynamo Pool Management Inc. won a $43,545 contract to resurface the pool deck, in need of repairs due to its age, cracking and multiple patches that were poorly done by the previous owner; and install six mounting sleeves for new starting blocks and four sleeves for back-stroke flag stanchions for the Milton Mustangs Swim Team, according to a staff agenda report.

The council also awarded an $86,851 contract to Prime Contractors Inc. to do “selective interior demolition” of the clubhouse, and to remediate mold in the building’s basement and on the first floor.

Separately, Milton announced in a Facebook posting that the pool pump house has been rebuilt; the bar has been removed; new pool furniture has been ordered; and a lightning detection system will be installed. Information: https://bit.ly/2K0fLEq
