Mill Creek students charged with armed robbery
Three 16-year-old boys who attend Mill Creek High School were arrested Thursday on armed robbery charges.
Police say two of the students robbed a Little Caesar's Pizza in Buford on Oct. 11, and that all three robbed a Shell convenience store in Braselton later that night. The students were not identified because they are juveniles. All are being held at a youth detention center.
At Little Caesar's on Buford Highway, near the Hall County line, two masked suspects entered with pistols and took cash from the safe, police said. They left in a silver car with black rims and a loud exhaust, police said.
A short time later, Braselton police received a call about a similar robbery at a Shell convenience store. Descriptions of the suspects and vehicle matched those from the Gwinnett incident, police said.
Investigators said they got a tip Wednesday that led them to the suspects.
