UPDATE: Steamhouse passed a reinspection Wednesday, scoring a 95/A. New violations included debris on a fan and "crawling insects" in the main kitchen.

ORIGINAL STORY (published July 3): A seafood restaurant in Midtown failed a recent health inspection, Fulton County records show.

Steamhouse Lounge, located on West Peachtree Street, scored a 47/U following the Wednesday evaluation; 69 and below is considered failing. Its prior score from October was an 81/B.

According to the report, there was heavy fly activity in the main kitchen.

Officials also reported a back door propped open during the inspection, and personal medicine stored beside food on the grill prep line.

Sam Weyman, the owner, said the issues have been fixed and they are ready to be reinspected.
