The Georgia World Congress Center Authority on Tuesday picked Citi as managing underwriter in the structuring and sale of  revenue bonds for a potential new stadium for the Atlanta Falcons or to renovate the Georgia Dome. Citi was one of 11 companies that bid for the underwriting position. Citi may also investigate the authority's outstanding bond obligations, including those to pay off current Dome debt. Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal helped kick off a new initiative to fight childhood cancer Tuesday by declaring September as Childhood Cancer Awareness month.

Some 13 organizations, including the Aflac Cancer Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, the Georgia Cancer Coalition and Imagine It! The Children’s Museum of Atlanta are partnering to form the Stop Childhood Cancer Alliance. It aims to encourage people to learn more about childhood cancer and educate others, volunteer or make donations.

You can vote early and often for Jekyll Island State Park in a national competition sponsored by Atlanta-based Coca-Cola to share prize money and marketing prestige.

Coke’s second annual America’s Favorite Park contest offers $175,000 in prize money to be divvied up among the top three on-line winners. Competition is fierce: Jekyll, near Brunswick in southeast Georgia, is currently ranked No. 5 out of 1,500 parks. Fast-charging McGrath State Beach in California is the main competition for a top five finish and the ensuing publicity and marketing cachet.
