Want to spend $6 billion?
The Atlanta Regional Commission has an online tool where people can do just that, at least in theory.
Next year, the Atlanta region's voters will decide on a 1 percent sales tax to fund a list of transportation projects over 10 years. Regional leaders are trying now to choose the projects for that list to show the voters. They have $6.1 billion to spend, but they're picking from a pool totaling $22.9 billion.
The ARC's online tool allows Internet users to try their hands at choosing their own $6.1 billion list. To find the tool, go to www.atlantaregionalroundtable.com, click "projects" and then "constrained scenario development tool."

Finding a medical provider just got easier for Kaiser Permanente of Georgia members with the launch of the nonprofit health plan's first mobile application this week.
Free for the iPhone, the KP Locator app allows patients to see what facilities are closest to them, what services they can access and contact information. Kaiser is also planning to provide a mobile app for its personal health record system later this year.
