Marietta customers may qualify for city rebate programs

Marietta Power and Water is reminding its customers of its various residential rebate programs.
To participate in the rebate programs, prior verification of existing gas equipment and final verification of the newly installed energy-efficient electric equipment are required.
- Heat Pump Rebate: Receive a $150 rebate check when replacing an existing gas heating system with a new SEER 13, HSPF 7.7 electric or dual-fuel heat pump.
- Water Heater Rebate: Receive a $250 rebate check when replacing an existing gas water heater with a new electric water heater with a minimum efficiency of 0.9.
- Water Heater and Heat Pump Rebate: Receive a $500 rebate check when replacing an existing gas water heater and heating system as described above at the same time.
