A Rome teenager pulled over for not using headlights told police he swallowed a bag of marijuana.

Toby Lance Eden, 18, also said he'd stolen his grandfather's gun when he was stopped Saturday, the Rome News-Tribune reported.

Eden, of Kingston, had a plastic bag in his mouth when Floyd County police stopped him in a 1992 Ford pickup truck, according to the report. An officer asked Eden to spit out the bag, but he refused and instead swallowed it. Then he told police there was marijuana inside.

In addition to a drug charge, Eden faces a felony theft by taking charge. He told police he'd stolen a gun from his grandfather.
