Police are investigating a shooting and robbery at a south Fulton County ATM.

Around 5 a.m., a man drove up to the Wells Fargo ATM at 5060 Old Bill Cook Road to withdraw some money, police said.

Another man approached him on foot and demanded the victim's wallet at gunpoint, according to police reports.

The victim surrendered his wallet, and the gunman shot him once in the front of the neck, police said.

The suspect took the cash and discarded the wallet  before fleeing on foot, police said.

The victim was responsive and talking when he was taken to an area hospital, but his condition is unknown.
