DeKalb County police identified the victim of a fatal overnight shooting in a neighborhood off Redan Road as a man who was slain on his 37th birthday, Channel 2 Action News reports.
Darrius Colley was shot to death Thursday night in his home in the 5400 block of Forest East Lane.
Police said they received a call shortly after 9 p.m. from Colley’s girlfriend, Channel 2 reports. She told officers she had been sleeping when she was awakened by four gunshots.
She went to the living room and found Colley lying wounded on the floor. He told her, “Babe, I got shot.” The man died later at a hospital.
