Dunwoody police are investigating a shooting early Friday that left a man dead.

Roberto Calderon-Guzman was shot inside an apartment at the Peachtree Place complex on Peachtree Place Parkway just before 12:30 a.m., Dunwoody police Sgt. Michael Carlson said.

Calderon-Guzman, 30, of Bainbridge, was pronounced dead at Northside Hospital.

Carlson described the suspect as a short, heavy-set black male, clean-shaven with short hair and last seen wearing a black t-shirt and shorts.

He said investigators have not determined a motive for the slaying.
