An 18-year-old man was so mad that his sister didn't have a cigarette for him, he set fire to the family's apartment, Athens-Clarke County police said Thursday.

Jartavious Antonio Bell was charged with first degree arson, criminal trespassing and obstruction, police said.

Officers were called to the Hull Road residence, where they found the apartment in disarray, according to Hilda Sorrow, police spokeswoman.

The man's sister told police when she didn't have any cigarettes for Bell, he began throwing things and knocking things over, before setting the carpet on fire.

Bell was arrested at a nearby apartment, police said.
