Man sentenced to 20 years for pimping teen girls
A 26-year-old admitted pimp has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for prostituting two teenage girls.
Christopher Heard pleaded guilty Monday to two counts of pimping and pandering a minor, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, theft by receiving stolen property and giving a false name to police.
An undercover officer approached a 15-year-old and a 14-year-old walking along Metropolitan Parkway, an area known for prostitution, on Nov. 13, 2007. They directed him to Heard at a nearby house.
According to prosecutors, Heard said the two girls would perform various sex acts for $140 and then took the undercover officer to another location to meet them.
Police learned Heard was in a car that had been reported stolen. Heard tried to escape but crashed into a tree. Officers found him nearby hiding between a house and a truck.
