Man, 67, sentenced to 6 years on child porn charges
A LaGrange man who had more than 200,000 images depicting child pornography will spend six years in federal prison.
Robert Barry Key, 67, participated in an international online bulletin board where members could access images of child pornography, U.S. Attorney Sally Quillian Yates said. In 2007 and 2008, federal investigators worked to dismantle the site and track down the members, Yates said.
"The investigation showed that Key had visited the site approximately 70 times and posted many online comments about the materials he had viewed," Yates said in a statement Monday.
A search warrant was executed at Key's home, where investigators found more than 200,000 images and videos of child porn, Yates said.
Key's prison sentence will be followed by seven years of supervised release.
