Man refuses to stop smoking crack during arrest, cops say

June 16, 2010A Rome man told police "I got to smoke this" when he was asked to put down his crack pipe, according to the Rome News-Tribune.
According to police reports, Fredrick Eugene Dennis, 47, continued to smoke and then threw the pipe into a creek Monday morning, according to Floyd County jail records.
Dennis was arrested and charged with possession of crack cocaine, obstruction, tampering with evidence and a parole violation.
