Man refuses to stop smoking crack during arrest, cops say

A Rome man told police "I got to smoke this" when he was asked to put down his crack pipe, according to the Rome News-Tribune.

According to police reports, Fredrick Eugene Dennis, 47, continued to smoke and then threw the pipe into a creek Monday morning, according to Floyd County jail records.

Dennis was arrested and charged with possession of crack cocaine, obstruction, tampering with evidence and a parole violation.
