Man killed, 1 hurt in Sandy Springs shooting
An Atlanta man was killed and a Roswell man was injured in a shooting in Sandy Springs Saturday night, according to police.
Patrick Placide, 28, of Winters Chapel Road in Atlanta, was shot to death on Jefferson Drive, police said. Jeanlouis Willy, 28, of Park Ridge Lane in Roswell, also was shot. He was treated at North Fulton Hospital and released. Willy and Placide are cousins, according to authorities.
"It appears that the pair were involved in a drug deal in the parking lot when they were shot," according to police spokesman Steve Rose. The identification of the suspects is still not known, Rose said.
