A Paulding County man was sentenced to 10 years in prison for molesting a 12-year-old girl he met online.
Anthony Francis Paleveda, 21, met the girl on the Web site vampirefreaks.com and began communicating with her through e-mail and text messages, prosecutors said. He was convicted Monday of two counts of child molestation and sentenced Tuesday, Cpl. Brandon Gurley with the Paulding sheriff's office said.
In April 2009, Paleveda, of Dallas, picked up the girl from her middle school and took her to his home, where a sex act occurred. He then dropped off the girl near her home. Paleveda was 19 at the time, Gurley said.
He was also convicted of enticing a child for indecent purposes, Gurley said.
