Photos: A man's body was found in the middle of Moreland Avenue near i-285. The incident was first reported as a pedestrian hit, but police determined that was not the case.

The northbound lanes of Moreland Avenue near I-285 were shut down Friday morning as DeKalb County police investigated a body found in the roadway.

The incident was first reported by the state Department of Transportation as a pedestrian struck by a car, but DeKalb police said the male victim was apparently already lying in the roadway when he was struck by at least one vehicle.
