If he was wearing a Halloween costume designed to trick authorities, it didn't work.
A man dressed like a woman -- his outfit consisted of a shoulder-length black wig, a skirt and short boots that may or may not be considered stylish -- robbed a bank in Marietta on Monday afternoon.
The sunglass-wearing suspect entered the BB&T Bank in the 1900 block of Sandy Plains Road about 1 p.m. and gave a teller a note, Marietta police said. He claimed to have a gun, Officer David Baldwin said. The man was given an unspecified amount of money and was last seen running behind the bank.
The suspect was described as a skinny white male between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall.
His body build, features and manly movements betrayed his disguise, Baldwin said.
"He ran like a man when he left the bank," he said.
