A man was in critical condition Saturday afternoon after being hit by a train in Henry County.
Henry County police Lt. Joey Smith said authorities responded to the scene near Valley Hill and East Atlanta roads in Stockbridge at about 4 p.m. A 31-year-old man was walking on the tracks when he was struck by a train, Smith said.
The victim, whose identity was not released, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital by helicopter.
Railroad authorities also responded to the scene, Smith said.
No further information was immediately available.
