A man wanted for shooting three people early Wednesday morning in south Fulton County turned himself in Friday afternoon, police said.
Sammy Lee Roberts, 22, shot and killed a man and injured another man and his girlfriend at the home where he allegedly beat up his girlfriend in May, police said.
Since the incident that killed Mustafa Omar Kelly around 3 a.m., Wednesday, Fulton County police have initiated an all-out search for Roberts.
Roberts fatally shot Kelly and wounded two others following an argument at the Hickory Park apartments on Delano Road, police said.
Just after the argument, witnesses told police that Robert's girlfriend, Shadasha Pearson, went into her apartment with Kelly and Dexter Pickens, leaving Roberts locked out.
He tried to get in to retrieve a gun from the apartment he shared with Pearson, but when he was unable to, he left and returned with another pistol, according to police reports.
Roberts somehow made his way into the apartment and shot the three inside, hitting Pearson in her shoulder and Pickens in his back.
Roberts had been arrested on May 2 for allegedly beating Pearson -- the mother of his child -- and breaking out her car window.
At the time, Pearson told police she had pointed a gun at him while he was hitting her.
Roberts said she tried to run him over with her car.
He was charged with battery, family violence and criminal trespassing, and released June 2 from the Fulton County jail, according to jail records.
