The man accused of killing a 36-year-old Cobb County woman has been arrested with the help of DeKalb County police.

Deron Maurice Williams, 37, has been charged with murder and aggravated assault and is being held at the Cobb County jail without bond, Sgt. Dana Pierce with Cobb police said.

Williams is accused of killing Decarla M. Lomax, found dead Thursday morning inside a mobile home in Austell, police said. Police have not released details about how Lomax died.

Address records show Lomax and Williams have lived together previously. Williams has an extensive criminal history in Maryland and Virginia, records show.

Investigators are still searching for a gray, 2007 Dodge Charger that Williams allegedly drove away in after the crimes, Pierce said. The car has a Georgia tag that reads BGY 9232.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact investigators at 770-499-3945.
