Main Street in Lilburn closed for sewer construction

Main Street in Lilburn will be closed just south of the Main Street roundabout 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 13 and 10 to 11 a.m. Dec. 14. Main Street will be completely closed between Lula Street and Norman Drive as Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources conducts sewer line construction.

Drivers are encouraged to use Killian Hill Road as a detour and asked to plan ahead to avoid traffic delays.

A new city hall and library building and a new Main Street that includes two roundabouts and sidewalks to connect the city’s amenities have transformed old Town Lilburn in recent years. More than 225 residents are slated for construction in Old Town Lilburn, including townhouses, condos, single-family homes and senior living.
