A Chinese eatery in Gwinnett County failed its recent health inspection after officials noted, among other things, "live roaches of different life stages present throughout the facility."

Yummy Garden, located inside the Great Wall Supermarket at 2300 Pleasant Hill Road in Duluth, scored a 38/U on its Monday evaluation.

According to the report released by the Georgia Department of Public Health, roaches were sighted on prep tables, on the floor in front of the grill area and in a cooler. "Several" employees were also spotted rinsing their hands without using soap.

"Observed employee rinse hands and then dry them off on a soiled apron," the inspector wrote. Another employee reportedly used the "fruit and vegetable sink" to wash their hands.
Numerous other violations were reported, including: "single use gloves stored in cooked pork"; raw meats being thawed in various inappropriate places; and workers not using hair restraints.
"The overall facility has food debris ... located on the floors and walls," the inspector wrote.
Multiple calls to the restaurant went unanswered Thursday morning.
A follow-up inspection will be completed within 10 days of Monday's evaluation.
