Four railroad crossings will be closed for maintenance through the weekend, the city of Lilburn said.

The closures are part of an ongoing project by CSX to replace rail ties on a stretch of track in Gwinnett County. Crews began work on March 5, starting at opposite ends of the rail line in Dacula and on the Gwinnett-DeKalb county line.

  • In Lilburn, the railroad crossing on Main Street will be closed from Tuesday, March 6 to Saturday, March 10.
  • The crossing at Arcado Road will be closed from Wednesday, March 7 to Sunday, March 11.
  • The crossing at Harmony Grove will be closed starting on Thursday, March 8 and lasting two to three days
  • The crossing at Lester Road will be closed at some point over the weekend or on Monday, March 12. That closure will also last for two to three days.

City residents can sign up for road closure alerts on Lilburn's website.
