Lilburn house damaged by fire
Firefighters are still trying to determine what sparked a blaze that occurred Wednesday evening in the 900 block of Hampton Trail in Lilburn.
A neighbor called to report the fire at 6 p.m. and firefighters arrived to find a column of heavy black smoke spewing from the two-story house. The blaze was brought under control by 6:42 p.m.
The fire caused a partial collapse of a wooden deck and extensive damage to the porch and attic. The residents were not home when the fire started, and no one was injured.
