Lilburn bandit takes Xboxes
Call him a hyper-anxious video gamer or a bandit with techie tastes.
It was like a scene out of Grand Theft Auto Wednesday when a hooded robber pulled a gun at a Lilburn Game Stop, demanding cash and game consoles.
The 25- to 35-year-old black man wore a black baseball cap, gray hooded sweatshirt and black coat Wednesday morning when he made off with two Xbox 360 machines, authorities said.
He placed an undisclosed amount of cash into a white plastic bag and fled on-foot with the hardware and money, Lilburn police spokesman Bruce Hedley said.
Officers called to the scene after the robbery weren't able to find the man described as the robber, Hedley said.
The investigation is ongoing, and police are asking anyone with information about this robbery to call Lilburn police Det. Kim Banks at 770-921-2211 or at 770-638-2220.
