Lawrenceville recently recognized the city’s Electric Department staff for their dedicated service to the community on National Lineman Appreciation Day. The event included lunch and recognition for local linemen and their support crews who manage, maintain, repair and expand Lawrenceville’s electric infrastructure.

“We are proud of our Linemen and electric staff and grateful to them for the excellent level of service they provide day-in and day-out,” said Chuck Warbington, Lawrenceville City Manager. “Lawrenceville works hard to ensure our residents have the infrastructure they need to live comfortably, and we could not do it without our dedicated crews. We appreciate them every day and especially in April of every year.”

Lawrenceville Electric Department employees not only take care of local utility customers in need, they also help when natural disasters hit. In September 2018, Kelvin Standifer (lineman) and Keith Davis (lineman), Cole Cantrell (groundsman), and Kyle Cain (apprentice lineman), traveled to Thomasville, Georgia to help restore power when three substations and 20 main line circuits were knocked out during Hurricane Michael.
