Lawrenceville, Georgia’s second largest municipal gas supplier, has completed construction on a new delivery point on Alcovy Road near Sugarloaf Parkway providing a 25 percent increase in the system. The completion of the project occurred just in time to sustain pressure in the system during the city’s 9th highest usage in history, which occurred on Jan. 8 of this year.

The utility expansion cost just under $4 million dollars and is a part of $20 million improvement project, which will ultimately be completed later this year. The next phase of the expansion will include a $13 million steel pipe replacement along State Route Highway 81 in Loganville. Construction is slated to begin in February.
