Following a recent public hearing, the Lawrenceville City Council approved a zoning variance to allow for signage, outdoor storage and canopy signage at a new Speedway going in at 3120 Sugarloaf Parkway.

The approval will allow for an electronic message center sign to display fuel prices, and a mixture of illuminated and non-illuminated signage on the canopy over the fuel pumps. Speedway has previously agreed to eliminate their traditional red stripe running around the canopy to meet Lawrenceville regulations.

Outdoor storage was approved with a screening brick wall around the area containing an ice machine and two propane storage racks.
