Lane closures set for Ga. 400 in Forsyth County
Georgia Department of Transportation officials say lane closures will kick off Monday, weather permitting, on the project widening Ga. 400 through Forsyth County.
Crews will start by repairing concrete damage to the existing lanes of the freeway, necessitating lane closures at times. Weekday overnight work hours/closures for the northbound lanes are set for 9 p.m. to 12 noon the next morning. Weekday southbound work hours will be 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next day. Weekend work hours northbound will be from 9 p.m. Friday to noon on Monday. Weekend southbound lane closures will happen from 7 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
GDOT says construction of actual new lanes will begin in the spring on the project to widen Ga. 400 from MacFarland Parkway to Ga. 369.
