Fayette County’s Water Guardians program has chosen Lake Kedron in Peachtree City for its next community cleanup effort. The county is inviting volunteers, with and without kayaks and canoes, to pick up trash along the lake 8 a.m.-11 a.m. Saturday.

The county will provide bottled water, trash bags and trash grabbers. Participants must be 14 or older, wear a life vest and sign a liability waiver. Jon boats are also needed to bring filled trash bags back to shore.

To register, email WaterGuardians@fayettecountyga.gov and include your name, daytime phone number and contact email address. Volunteers will be notified if bad weather requires rescheduling.
