The director of Kennesaw State University's bookstore resigned after reports of questionable bookkeeping led to an audit of the store, Channel 2 Action News reports.

Bookstore staff had alerted the university to concerns over whether “financial protocols” were being followed, Arlethia Perry-Johnson, KSU’s vice president of external affairs, said in a prepared statement issued Wednesday.

"Because these concerns were of a fiscal nature, an internal investigation was launched, leading to the current audit. There is no documentation of missing money,” Perry-Johnson said.

Jamie Burns resigned as bookstore director after the school launched the investigation, Channel 2 reports.
