A woman was killed and six other people, including a child, were injured in a two-car crash late Friday on I-75 North, Clayton County police said.

About 11:15 p.m., officers and Clayton County Fire and Emergency Services crews responded to the freeway just south of the Forest Parkway exit, Sgt. Ashanti Marbury said in a news release.

A woman, who was entrapped in one of the vehicles, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Six of the seven other people in the vehicles were taken to local hospitals with injuries, Marbury said. The child appeared to be about 4 years old.

Identities and other details were not released. Police are investigating the crash.
