DeKalb police are trying to determine whether the two bodies found in an apartment complex Tuesday are connected with a shooting that happened the night before.
DeKalb police went to The Avenues apartment complex on Northeast Expressway between Clairmont and Shallowford roads Monday night to investigate a shooting, Officer Jason Gagnon said.
In the parking lot, authorities found a man who had been shot, Gagnon said. The man was taken to Atlanta Medical Center where he was pronounced dead later that evening, Gagnon said.
Detectives returned to the apartment Tuesday morning to continue investigating Monday's incident. While they were there, a maintenance man told them about an open door in the apartment complex, Gagnon said.
The investigators went to that apartment and found two other deceased victims, Gagnon said.
It's unclear whether the two incidents are connected, Gagnon said.
