Judge Anthony Alaimo had distinguished career

Senior U.S. District Court Anthony Alaimo -- credited with turning around what was then Georgia's most dangerous and deadly prison -- has died.

Before leaving his Brunswick office on a April day in 2005, U.S. District Judge Anthony Alaimo donned a fedora. He wore the hats daily as part of his 'uniform.'
