A Jonesboro man was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly took photos of a woman in a dressing room using his cell phone, police said.

Maurice Smith, 32, is being held in the Fayette County jail on charges of being a peeping Tom and for unlawful surveillance, Fayetteville police said. Smith allegedly took photos of the woman in the dressing room at a Fayetteville Goodwill store. Smith was spotted by the victim, who then followed him until authorities could arrive, police said.

Detectives also served a search warrant on Smith's phone and located more photographs, police spokesman Detective Mike Whitlow said.

Surveillance video from the store shows Smith taking the pictures with his 1-month-old daughter in his arms and in full view of at least one other customer, Whitlow said.

Police are trying to determine if any of the other photographs were taken in the Fayetteville store. Anyone who was in the store on Wednesday who may have seen Smith is encouraged to contact the Fayetteville Police, Whitlow said.
